Artwork Checklist: ID Cards, Uniforms & Vehicle Branding for Landscaping Companies

Once you've decided what to order for your landscaping or gardening company, having the right files and information ready before you place the order makes the whole process smoother. This checklist covers what's typically needed for ID cards, uniforms and vehicle branding.

Logo and Brand Basics

  • A high-resolution or vector version of your logo (not a low-resolution image pulled from a website or social media page)
  • Your brand colours, ideally as exact colour codes rather than "green" or "blue"
  • Your company name exactly as you want it printed, including correct spelling and any legal suffix (LLC, FZE, etc.)

ID Card Checklist

For staff ID cards, gather:

  • A list of staff names, job titles and departments (field crew vs. office/sales)
  • A recent, clear photo of each employee
  • Any employee or reference number you want printed on the card
  • Company contact details you want visible for site staff — useful if a homeowner or community office needs to verify who's on-site

If you also need lighter-weight name badges for office or reception staff, prepare the same details for that group separately, since badge and card formats differ.

Uniform Branding Checklist

For branded uniform shirts, have ready:

  • Garment sizes and quantities needed per role (crew vs. supervisor vs. office)
  • Logo placement preference (chest, back, sleeve)
  • Any colour differences you want between crew and supervisor uniforms

Vehicle Branding Checklist

Before ordering vehicle stickers, prepare:

  • Photos of the actual vehicle(s), including the specific panel or area where the sticker will go
  • Vehicle make and model, since panel shapes and sizes vary
  • Whether you want the same design across your whole fleet or different placement per vehicle type
  • Plate numbers or fleet numbers, if you want them included in the design

Stationery and Stamps Checklist

For rubber stamps, business cards and letterhead and envelopes, have your exact registered company name, address, phone number, email and any license or reference details you want printed, confirmed and consistent across every item.

FAQs

What file format should my logo be in?

A vector file (such as AI, EPS or a high-resolution PDF) is the most reliable format for printing, since it can be resized without losing quality. If you only have a low-resolution logo, mention this when you place your order.

Do I need to submit staff photos separately for each item?

Yes — ID cards and name badges are prepared per employee, so a clear, individual photo for each person is needed rather than a group photo.

What if my vehicles have different shapes or panel sizes?

Send photos of each vehicle type in your fleet so the sticker design can be adapted to fit the actual panel space available, rather than assuming one size fits all.
