Choose wall or tabletop display before finalising a wooden plaque. The intended position affects the dimensions, orientation and support you should ask for.
For a desk or shelf
Measure the available surface and decide whether the plaque should stand vertically or at an angle. Ask the supplier to confirm the base or stand, including whether it is included. A product photograph may not show the back or the full support arrangement.
For a wall
Check the available wall space and preferred portrait or landscape orientation. Ask about the backing and hanging arrangement for the selected plaque. Confirm any installation responsibility separately; ordering a plaque does not automatically include mounting it at the destination.
Match the wording and finish
Use the inscription length to check that the size remains readable. If matching a previous award, send front and back photos, measurements and any known wood or finish details. Natural grain can vary, so confirm what consistency is achievable before ordering a set.
