Use the printer’s folder template before arranging the cover and inside graphics. Pocket shapes, folds and glued areas affect which parts of the artwork remain visible.

Start with the correct template
Confirm the folder size and pocket design, then request the matching artwork template. Do not reuse a template from another folder just because its cover dimensions look similar. Keep the cutting and folding guides separate from printable artwork as instructed.
Check the assembled view
Review the front, back, pockets and inside with the folder open and closed. Keep contact details clear of folds and card slots. Consider where a document will cover the inside design when the folder is in use.
Approve all printed areas
State which areas receive printing and which stay blank. Confirm finish, stock and quantity in the quote. Check the final proof against a folded mock-up, especially if a graphic crosses from the back cover onto a pocket.
