Tesla Plate Frame Sizing Guide for Dubai Owners

Tesla Plate Frame Sizing Guide for Dubai Owners

Tesla has changed its front-end design and mounting points several times across the Model 3, Y, S and X ranges, and delivery batches for the same model can differ too. Before ordering a plate frame, it's worth checking your own car rather than assuming it matches a photo online.

Start With Your Own Car

Look at your front bumper first. Some Tesla deliveries in the UAE already include a dealer-fitted bracket or pre-drilled mounting point; others arrive completely blank. If yours is blank, measure the flat area available on the bumper where a frame would sit, and note whether there's a parking sensor, camera or badge nearby that a frame needs to avoid.

Plate Size and Frame Fit

UAE plates are issued in a standard long format, and a frame needs to match that shape rather than a shorter square format used in some other countries. If you're ordering a frame for a plate you don't have in hand yet, confirm the plate size with your registration paperwork or dealer rather than guessing.

Rear Mounting Is More Consistent

Rear plate mounting tends to be more consistent across Tesla models than the front, since most markets require a rear plate as standard and Tesla generally builds a mounting point in from the factory. The front is where fitment varies most, which is why front-specific guidance matters more than rear.

When to Ask Before Ordering

If you're not sure whether your car already has a usable mounting point, or which model-year front fascia you have, it's worth checking with us before ordering so the frame you receive actually fits. See the Tesla Plate Frames in Dubai page for the product, or jump to our model comparison if you're deciding between Model 3, Y, S and X considerations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to measure my plate before ordering?

If you already have your UAE plate fitted, use it as your reference. If you're ordering ahead of delivery, confirm the plate size with your dealer or registration paperwork.

What if my Tesla already has a front mounting point?

Then you may only need a frame rather than a full mounting bracket. Check what's already there before ordering hardware you don't need.

Does the frame work the same on the front and rear?

The rear is usually more straightforward since Tesla builds in a mounting point in most configurations. The front is where you're more likely to need an aftermarket solution.
