Bottles are larger than a pen but still curved, and many have a cap, base or strap that can carry a secondary mark. Checking these points before sending your file helps avoid a stretched or misaligned print.
File Format
Vector files (AI, EPS or a vector-based PDF) are preferred for logos with fine detail or text, since they scale cleanly to the bottle's printable area. A high-resolution PNG or JPG can work for simpler logos if it isn't stretched up from a small original.
Colour Count and Print Method
Full-colour or full-wrap designs suit UV printing or full-colour printing on steel, aluminium or plastic bottles. Laser engraving is a single-tone finish and works best with a simplified, single-colour version of your logo, most often used on steel or glass.
Wrap-Around Sizing
A logo designed as a flat rectangle can distort once it's wrapped around a cylindrical bottle body, especially at the edges. Check how your design behaves when curved, and consider a narrower or centred layout if it includes text near the edges.
Contrast Against the Bottle Colour
A light logo on a light bottle, or a dark logo on a dark bottle, can be technically printed correctly but still hard to see. Choose a bottle colour that contrasts with your logo, or request a proof against your chosen colour first.
Secondary Placement
Lids, bases and carry straps offer a smaller secondary space for a monogram, icon or short tagline separate from the main logo on the body — useful if your primary logo is too detailed to shrink further.
