Check Catalogue Product Data Before Printing

Check Catalogue Product Data Before Printing

Check a catalogue against an approved product list, not only against the previous design file. Product codes, specifications and prices can change between editions.

For print options and an order enquiry, visit Catalogue Printing.

Prepare a source list

Use one checked list of product names, codes, descriptions and any prices to be printed. Identify the owner of that information. Keep image filenames connected to product codes so similar-looking items do not receive the wrong photo.

Check navigation and references

Review the contents page, page numbers and cross-references after the layout is final. Check QR destinations and website addresses. If a product appears more than once, compare its details across all appearances.

Freeze the approved edition

Name the final file with a clear version or date and identify any file it replaces. Review page order, cover and binding requirements with the printer. Keep a copy of the approved artwork and specification for future updates.
