Use a version list to keep each cosmetic shade, scent and pack size paired with the correct artwork and quantity. Similar-looking files are easy to mix up.
Give each version a clear name
Include the product, variant, size and artwork revision in the filename. Avoid names such as final-new-latest. Make one list showing each file and the number of labels required. Keep the approved product wording controlled separately so layout edits do not accidentally reintroduce an old description.
Check repeated and changing elements
Compare the logo, positioning and overall layout across the range. Then check the details that should differ, including the variant name and supplied code. Review every version; approving one design does not approve text copied into the others. Ask how proofs will identify individual files.
Prepare a reliable reorder reference
Keep the approved proofs, container measurements, finish and quantities together. For a reorder, specify which versions are unchanged and which need new artwork. If the container or product handling has changed, flag that too so material suitability can be reviewed. Request a quote with the delivery area and required date.
