For most Dubai rental fleets, a branded number plate frame is the right default — a full vehicle wrap is the exception, not the rule. Here's how to decide which vehicles in your fleet need which treatment.
Branded plate frames
A custom number plate frame puts your company name directly around the plate. It's inexpensive per vehicle, quick to fit and remove, doesn't require the same RTA advertising-permit process as larger vehicle graphics (since it identifies the plate rather than covering bodywork), and has no impact on resale value. The trade-off is visibility: a plate frame is only really read by someone standing close to the car, not by other drivers on the road.
Door decals
A logo decal on the front doors sits between a plate frame and a full wrap. It's visible from further away, still relatively inexpensive, and easy for a professional installer to remove without damaging paint — useful if you rotate vehicles out of the rental fleet and back into resale within a couple of years.
Full vehicle wraps
A full or near-full wrap gives maximum visibility and works well for a handful of vehicles used specifically for marketing — an airport meet-and-greet car, an exhibition vehicle, or a fleet "flagship." It requires RTA advertising approval, professional installation to avoid paint damage, and is a larger investment per vehicle, so most operators only wrap a small subset of the fleet rather than every car.
How to decide
| Situation | Better fit |
|---|---|
| Standard rental fleet, high vehicle turnover | Plate frames |
| Vehicles kept for longer, brand visibility matters more | Door decals |
| One or two vehicles used for marketing or airport pickup | Full wrap |
| Leased/financed vehicles | Plate frames (check NOC before any decal or wrap) |
Whichever option you choose, confirm current RTA requirements for your specific branding size and vehicle type before ordering at fleet scale — rules and approval processes can change. For the full fleet and counter package, see our car rental printing and branding package.
