A sticker that works on a cardboard box may behave differently on a textured bottle or a chilled container. Share the surface and conditions before choosing a material.

Describe the actual surface
Send a photo and identify the material where possible. Mention curves, texture, coatings and whether the item bends or squeezes. Measure the usable area rather than the full container, especially where the surface tapers.
Explain the conditions
Tell the printer about moisture, refrigeration, direct sunlight, handling or cleaning. Avoid assuming a material is suitable because it looks similar to a previous label. Ask which material and adhesive match the conditions you describe.
Test when the application is demanding
For an unfamiliar surface or demanding use, discuss a sample before ordering the full quantity. Apply it to the actual item and check edge lifting, readability and the expected handling conditions. Agree any test or sample cost in advance.
