Check a sticker on the exact packaging surface. Kraft, coatings and texture can change adhesion even when two boxes look similar.
Identify the actual surface
Send a close photo and describe whether the package is uncoated paper, coated card, plastic or another material. If you are changing packaging suppliers, treat the new stock as a new surface to check. Appearance alone does not establish how well an adhesive will bond.
Test where the label will sit
Apply a sample in the intended position on an assembled package. Include folds and curved sections if they are unavoidable. Check edge lift and handling after the adhesive has had the supplier-recommended time to settle. For a closure, test the filled package rather than an empty box that places less stress on the join.
Record separate specifications where needed
If the sticker will be used on several materials, list them with quantities. One material or adhesive may not suit every pack. Keep the packaging reference with the approved label details so a reorder can be checked against the same surface, shape and conditions.
