Measure a closure sticker on the assembled box or filled bag. A flat packaging blank does not show the distance the sticker must bridge.
Mark the contact areas
Place a paper strip over the intended opening and mark where it touches each side. Check folds, ridges and the normal way the package closes. The sticker needs usable contact area on both sides, not just enough length to cross the gap. Ask for the adhesive to be checked on the actual packaging material.
Place the artwork around the fold
Keep important wording and small graphics clear of the part that bends around an edge. A logo can look centred in the flat file but sit awkwardly on the finished box. Make a paper mock-up with the artwork and check it from the customer-facing side before confirming the print dimensions.
Describe the purpose accurately
Tell the printer whether the sticker is decorative, helps hold a light closure or needs a security function. A standard branded sticker is not proof of tamper evidence. If a specific security behaviour is required, discuss that specification separately. Send package photos, measurements and quantity with the enquiry.
