Decide whether the coasters are for repeated table use or occasional gifting. That helps you ask the right questions about material, backing and care.
For cafés and offices
Explain how the tables are used and cleaned, and whether the coaster will sit under hot drinks, cold drinks or both. Ask the supplier to confirm heat, moisture and cleaning suitability for the material quoted. A product image alone cannot establish those properties.
For gifts and events
Specify whether you want individual pieces or complete sets. A set may carry one repeated logo or a different design on every coaster. Confirm the packaging and any holder separately so you know what the recipient will receive.
Fit the design to the shape
Keep the main logo away from the trim edge and check that it remains visible around a cup. If the coaster must fit an existing holder, measure its internal space. Send the intended quantity, shape and date so the available options can be checked before artwork preparation.
