Start a packaging enquiry with the product, quantity and packing method. A reference image helps explain the appearance, but it does not replace dimensions or a description of what must fit.
Describe the packed product
Send a photo and the dimensions of the complete item, including caps, handles or anything that projects beyond the main body. For a set, show the items together in the arrangement you want. Add the approximate packed weight and explain whether the packaging is for a shelf, a handover or delivery.
Separate the requirements from the preferences
State what the pack must do before listing finishes. It may need to hold several products, fit on a particular shelf or leave room for a card. Then add your preferred opening, colours and printed areas. If you are unsure about the material, say so; a named material without a suitable structure can lead to an incomplete quote.
Send one clear order list
List each packaging item with its size, design and quantity. Include the logo or artwork, the date you need the order in hand and the delivery area. Ask the quotation to identify the proposed construction, printing, finishing and any separate components. Keep the approved brief with the final artwork so later changes are easy to identify.
