For replacement flag fabric, the pole model and original template are the best starting points. A photograph of the standing flag helps, but it does not replace the required dimensions.
Collect the hardware information
Send the model name or label, pole sections, base type and any original order details. Photograph the complete set and the sleeve or attachment area. Record the flag dimensions if known, and distinguish measurements of the fabric from the full height of the assembled display.
Confirm the template before design
Ask whether the supplier can produce fabric for that exact pole and attachment method. Check the sleeve, seams, outline and tensioning details against the agreed template. Do not stretch artwork intended for another flag simply to fill the space; review the logo proportions and text after adapting the layout.
Check what is being replaced
State fabric only if that is all you need. If the pole or base is damaged or the use location has changed, include that in the enquiry. Confirm the reverse-side appearance and any additional hardware separately. Keep the accepted template and model reference for later reorders.
