Plan an acrylic award around the wording, display position and overall shape. These decisions help determine whether the design has enough space and a suitable base.
Give the wording space
Set out the award name, recipient, achievement and date before choosing the outline. A long department name may need more width than a short winner’s name. Keep the logo separate from the main inscription so neither has to be reduced excessively.
Consider the outline and base
A custom outline should leave room for the inscription and a practical connection to the base. Send a reference image and proposed dimensions, then ask the maker to confirm the construction. A visual sketch alone does not establish thickness, stability or the finished material.
Check the whole series
Look at the longest recipient name and longest award category as well as the shortest. Use a consistent layout where possible, while allowing space for different wording. Confirm the material as acrylic, the base arrangement, artwork treatment and quantity before approving the final designs.
