Give your printer the date you need the gift boxes in hand. An event date alone leaves out the time you need for checking, packing and distributing the gifts.
Work back from the handover
Set a required arrival date that leaves room for your own packing work. Tell the printer where delivery is needed and whether there are several handover locations. Ask for production and delivery timing to be confirmed after the specification and artwork are agreed; do not assume an initial estimate is a final schedule.
Keep versions in a simple order list
Separate each box design, language or recipient group with its quantity. If individual names are required, confirm the personalisation method before preparing the final list. Check spelling and assign a clear file name to each version. State whether you need boxes grouped or identified by version when delivered.
Confirm the complete handover
Check whether the order includes only printed boxes or also inserts, assembly or packing. Identify who supplies the gifts and who places them inside. Keep one approved specification and artwork set for the job. If the contents or quantity change, ask how that affects the fit, price and agreed delivery date.
